Second book in the “Chaney Twins' Series" now available

AWA Alumni Member, Rebecca Long Chaney, is proud to announce the release of her daughters' second children's book, “Mini Milk Maids on the Mooove.” This book is the second book in a children's agricultural education book series by five-year-old twin sisters Rianna and Sheridan Chaney and focuses on the dairy industry.


AWA Welcomes 18 New Members

This fall, 18 young ladies successfully completed the steps to becoming active members of the Association of Women in Agriculture.


Women Shape Future at Ag Leadership Summit

Women in agriculture, ranging from college students to industry professionals, gathered on Friday, October 23, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison for the first-ever Women’s Ag Leadership Summit, presented by the Association of Women in Agriculture.


AWA Ladies Represent Well at Homecoming

“Bucky's Game Show” was the theme for this year’s homecoming, and AWA teamed up with the Babcock House and Sigma Alpha to participate in the festivities.


Three CALS students on UW-Madison Homecoming Court

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) was well represented on the 2009 University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Homecoming Court with three students on the ten-person court representing the entire University.

The purpose of AWA is to help members prepare for a career
in agriculture and agricultural related fields; to aid women
in agriculture in achieving their goals, to improve communication
among women in agriculture and for the general betterment of agriculture.
