AWA Listserv Instructions
www.groups.google.com

The Association of Women in Agriculture is staying connected by utilizing a listserv through Google groups.

A listserv is an e-mail list which allows one message to be distributed automatically to a pre-determined group of people.

As an AWA alumni or active, you have the advantage of joining the listserv to both post and receive pertinent AWA and industry messages. Information that can be posted through the listserv includes job and internship opportunities, scholarships and details about AWA events.

The AWA listserv is managed by the AWA active Vice President, Rachael Herschleb.

To join the AWA Listserv:
There are two ways to join the listserv:

E-mail Christa Behnke, cbehnke@wisc.edu Or Krista Knigge, kmk@uwalumni.com to request an invitation to the listserv. You will then receive an e-mail from Google groups asking to accept the invitation.

Or, log onto http://groups.google.com/group/awa-madison and choose apply for membership. *Please note that you need to create your free Google account login and password before you can join the group. You will be asked to provide your name and year(s) you were a member of AWA in order to be approved.

To post a message on the AWA Listserv:
There are also two ways to post a message to the listserv:

Send an e-mail to awa-madison@googlegroups.com with the message you would like distributed to the listserv.

Log on to http://groups.google.com/group/awa-madison. At the top of the home page, there will be a heading entitled Discussions. Next to this header is a +new post option. Choose this option and enter your information to send to the entire AWA mailing list. Please note that you can send an attachment.

If you encounter any difficulties or have any questions or concerns about the AWA listserv, please contact Christa Behnke, cbehnke@wisc.edu for assistance.
