    75% member participation with Competitive Edge.

    85% member participation in Formal or CALS Week Activities.

    100% member participation in at least one sister bonding activity.


MEMBER EXPECTATIONS 2009-2010

    Attend regularly scheduled meetings

    Work at AWA’s Breakfast on the Farm

    Participate in two service projects

    Participate in one fundraiser

You must notify the secretary 24 hours in advance if you will be absent, unless an emergency occurs. Exceptions will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Any questions or concerns about member expectations should be directed to a member of the current officer team.


How to be an AWA "Member in Good Standing"

Attend all mandatory events, so deemed by the officer team

    • Pay dues by the 3rd meeting
    • Complete a total of 4 service and 2 fundraising activities throughout the year. (2 service and 1 fundraiser need to be done in the first semester)
    • If you have to miss an event, email Abbie Holig (holig@wisc.edu), with your excuse at least 24 hours in advance

Excused Absences- the following are considered excused:

    • Class, exams, or scheduled review sessions
    • Studying if you have 3 exams within 24 hour period that the event is planned for
    • Family emergencies
    • Extreme sickness/injury
    • The rest will be submitted to Abbie and handled on an individual basis

Actions for Unexcused Absences-

    • 1st unexcused- email notifying of absence
    • 2nd unexcused- email notifying of absence with warning about 3rd
    • 3rd unexcused- no longer a member in good standing, name brought before the membership for possible deactivation
