Fall 2011 Goals

  • Have 100% of members use 2 of their 5 free meals at the house
  • Have 100% attendance at 1 non-mandatory professional/alumni networking event
  • Have 75% of membership attend at least a half day at the Ag Women’s Leadership Summit.

How to be an AWA "Member in Good Standing"

    • Attend all mandatory events, so deemed by the officer team
    • Pay dues by the third meeting
    • Complete a total of 2 service, 1 fundraising, and 1 AWA planned activity each semester. If you have to miss an event, email Sonia Gelsinger (gelsinger@wisc.edu), with your excuse at least 24 hours in advance

Excused Absences- the following are considered excused:

    • Class, exams or scheduled review sessions
    • Studying if you have 3 exams within 24 hours of the event
    • Family emergencies
    • Extreme sickness/injury
    • The rest will be submitted to Sonia and handled on an individual basis

Actions for Unexcused Absences-

    • 1st unexcused—email notifying of the absences
    • 2nd unexcused-email notifying of absence with warning about the 3rd
    • 3rd unexcused—no longer a member in god standing, name brought before the membership for possible deactivation
