AWA Ladies Represent Well at Homecoming
“Bucky's Game Show” was the theme for this year’s homecoming, and AWA teamed up with the Babcock House and Sigma Alpha to participate in the festivities.
The week was kicked off with an awesome first place finish in the Badger Games for student organizations! We rocked out to 'Taking Care of Business' for Air Band, placing third for student orgs and fifth overall. Bucky's Trivia Challenge proved to be a little bit harder, but we still had good participation and tried our best. Yell Like Hell yielded a great turnout and our cheer, yelled to the tune of ‘Sex and Beer’ went very well! Although it was a cold night, we stuck around and enjoyed listening to the other cheers!
On Friday, a large amount of AWA, Sigma Alpha, and Babcockers braved the cold in order to ride or walk along with the float for the parade. Our float, themed ‘Are you smarter then a Hawkeye?’ turned out, great and everyone had a lot of fun! Special thanks to Babcock for find a tractor and trailer and all the work they helped out with on the float!
AWA, Sigma Alpha, and Babcock were also well represented in the week’s charity run, blood drive and food drive. Although the Badgers lost to the Hawkeyes on Saturday, it was still a great homecoming week!
